 One  women in West Bengal district East Bardhman was allegedly branded as a witch  thrashed and parade by a group of people. I strongly condemn this incidence. This is a very barbaric and inhuman act which needs a strong legal action on all the acussed of such act.

This incidence happened  on Sunday in a tribal village  of district east  bardhman.

Budhin baski a tribal  woman was preparing food for her family,  at their house in village ,when she was allegedly caught by angry villagers on suspicion of being involved in black magic. They were thrashed,  and paraded  in the village and took her in mansa devi temple her both arms were tied up and were forced to leave village.

  Dr. Dinesh mishra said  This happened when India is busy in fighting against COVID 19 pandemic and many regions of country is under lockdown.when local police went in the village to  arrest the acussed. Mob attacked on police force with arrows and then police used  tears gas and released the victim.  Police have been arrested 3 persons.

Dr. Dinesh Mishra President of Andh shraddha Nirmulan samiti highly condemned this act .He said, There is no existence of black magic,this woman was tortured due to superstition.  Government should take strong action against all  acussed.  We will visit the village and arrange awareness campaign in this area after lockdown period.
